Indian men’s cricket team captain, Rohit Sharma, has begun his rigorous training for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Known for his stellar performances, Rohit was India’s top scorer in the T20 World Cup 2024 and played a pivotal role in the ODI series against Sri Lanka last year.

On Friday, Rohit shared a video on Instagram showcasing his intense batting practice with the white ball. Later in the day, his IPL team, Mumbai Indians, posted a clip on X, capturing Rohit and Hardik Pandya’s face-off in the nets. The video, which has gone viral, features Hardik bowling to Rohit, who responded with some exquisite shots, demonstrating his readiness for the challenges ahead.

Hardik Pandya’s Journey Back to the National Team

Hardik Pandya, last seen in a 50-over match against Bangladesh in October 2023, is poised to make his return to India’s Champions Trophy squad, which will be announced on Saturday. The all-rounder, who impressed in the 2017 Champions Trophy final, continues to be a crucial asset for the Indian team.

Before donning the blue jersey for the Champions Trophy, Hardik will feature in the T20I series against England. The five-match series kicks off on January 22 in Kolkata, with subsequent games in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai on January 25, 28, 31, and February 2.

In recent months, Hardik has showcased exceptional form in domestic tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 and Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he delivered impressive performances with both bat and ball.

Champions Trophy: A Crucial Tournament for India

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled from February 19 to March 9, will be held across three venues in Pakistan and one in Dubai. India’s matches, including the final (if qualified), will take place in Dubai.
